Bangtao Village Resort

The rooms at Bangtao Village Resort include deluxe doubles and twins of 35 m², larger family rooms of 65 m² and 66 m², and a superior family room for groups of guests. Several of them look out over the garden, and one family room sleeps up to nine guests. Beds include singles, doubles and queens.

Private bathrooms, air conditioning and satellite or cable channels appear in several rooms. Electric kettles, hair dryers, toiletries, towels and free bottled water are provided in some rooms, and rooms can also have a balcony or terrace, a seating area, an in-room safe, a desk and a refrigerator.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a spa with sauna and massage, and a 24-hour front desk. Breakfast can be taken à la carte, as a buffet, continental or American, and halal breakfast and halal restaurant choices are also available.

Guests can arrange tours, rent bicycles or a car, and use the taxi service. There is an airport transfer, and free parking is available at the resort, with bicycle parking as well for guests who cycle around the area.

Families can use the children's pool and the babysitting service, and the property also has a mini golf course, a water park, a garden, a terrace, laundry service and concierge support, all on site.

Bangtao Village Resort sits in the Bang Thao area of Phuket's west coast, beside a long, sandy beach that runs along the bay. The area is calmer than the nightlife of Patong, and it is a good choice for a quiet beach holiday with easy access to the rest of the island.

Bang Tao Beach is a few hundred metres from the resort, and Surin and Pansea beaches are a short drive away. Phuket International Airport is 14 km away, and Patong Beach is about 8.8 km. Phuket FantaSea, the cultural show complex, is nearby, and the Bang-Tao Night Market offers an evening of food stalls and local goods. Further afield, the Big Buddha on the hills and Wat Chalong, one of the island's most important temples, are the sights most visitors go for. Phuket is linked by road, so taxis, car hire and bicycles are the usual ways to get around.

A good day could start with a swim at the beach, continue with a visit to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha, and end with a stroll through the night market close to the resort. An evening show at Phuket FantaSea makes a good alternative after a day of sightseeing.
