BangPo Resort

The rooms at BangPo Resort include a 52 m² villa with a sea view and a private entrance, two double rooms of 28 m² and 31 m² with a king bed and a mountain view, a 20 m² standard room and a standard room with no window. Rooms sleep two, three or four guests, depending on the room.

Several rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and towels. The villa offers a choice of bed set-ups for up to four guests. Two rooms have a mountain view. The villa faces the sea from its private entrance.

BangPo Resort has a private beach, a garden and a terrace, and the grounds include a playground and a shared lounge with a TV area. A 24-hour front desk is available, and express check-in and check-out are offered.

Food and drink come from a bar, room service, a shared kitchen and food delivery. The resort also has daily housekeeping, laundry service, dry cleaning, a convenience store and cash withdrawal.

Bang Por is a quiet coastal village in the Mae Nam area of Koh Samui, and the resort sits away from the island's busiest beach strips. The coast here is calm and low-key, with small beaches and village life close by. The island's better-known beaches lie farther along the coast, including Lamai and Chaweng, and the Hin Ta and Hin Yai rocks, known as the Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, are further still.

Ban Po Beach is 1.4 km away, and Maenam Beach, a long stretch of sand, is 6.8 km away. Fisherman's Village, a restored fishing village in Bo Phut, is 10.4 km away, and the Big Buddha, a large seated statue on a hilltop, is 13.3 km from the resort. Samui Airport is 14 km away. Wat Plai Laem, a temple known for its large Guanyin statue, is also close, and Nathon, the island's main ferry town, has the piers for boats to the mainland.

A full day could combine the Big Buddha, a stop at Fisherman's Village and an afternoon on Maenam Beach. The resort can also arrange tours, such as island hopping and snorkelling trips, for guests who want to see more of the island. A car or scooter is the usual way to get to them.
