Bambus Restaurant, Bar & Hostel

The hostel offers bunk beds in a mixed dormitory room, with air conditioning, blackout curtains and a reading light. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the property is open to adults only.

Patong is Phuket's busiest beach resort, a lively town of restaurants, bars and night markets set around the bay. It is one of the most visited places on the island, so the streets stay busy into the night and the choice of places to eat is wide. Bambus sits in the busy part of town, where the shops and nightlife that give Patong its character are close by, and visitors come for the beaches as much as for the evening life.

The beach is 720 m from the hostel, and Bangla Road, the street of bars and clubs, is 600 m away. Jungceylon Shopping Center is 400 m off, and further afield the Big Buddha statue on its hilltop sits 7.6 km away. Phuket International Airport is 24 km away, so most guests arriving by air reach Patong by road from there.

A good day could start at the Banzaan Fresh Market, then continue to Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of Phuket's most important Buddhist temples. From there the coast road runs to Karon and Kata beaches, two long sandy stretches, and the night market is the easiest place to finish the day back in Patong, among the street food stalls and busy restaurants along the beach road.
