Bamboo Bay Resort

The rooms at Bamboo Bay Resort include family rooms, standard double rooms and a bungalow, and several of them have a sea view. Each room has either air conditioning or a fan, and some have a balcony or terrace, a seating area or a desk. Air conditioning and fans are both offered, so guests can choose the cooling they prefer.

Several rooms sleep up to four guests, and the Family Connecting Room has one single bed and two double beds. All the rooms are non-smoking, and some have a private bathroom with a shower, an in-room safe box, mosquito nets and clothes racks.

The resort has an airport transfer and a shuttle service, and there is a taxi service, car hire, a concierge and ticket services. Luggage storage, dry cleaning, a laundromat and laundry service are also available, and daily housekeeping is part of the stay.

Bamboo Bay Resort sits on Ba Kantiang Bay on Koh Lanta, a long island where the pace is relaxed and the beaches are spread along the coast. Bamboo Beach (Had Mai Phai) is 150 m from the resort, and Klong Jark Beach is 300 m away, so the sand is close for a swim or a walk along the shore. Bamboo Beach and Klong Jark Beach are both within a few hundred metres of the resort, and both are on the island's coast.

Khlong Chak Waterfall is 1.9 km away, and Mu Ko Lanta National Park, a marine park that covers stretches of coast and the islands offshore, is 2 km away. Lanta Old Town, the island's historic settlement, is 5.3 km away. Koh Lanta has no bridge, so arrival from the mainland is by boat, and the nearest airports, Trang and Krabi, are both on the mainland.

A good day could start with a swim at Bamboo Beach, continue to Khlong Chak Waterfall in the afternoon, and finish with a walk through Lanta Old Town. Guests who prefer to stay closer can spend an evening in the resort's garden, where the outdoor movie nights are held, after a day at the beach.
