A day could begin with a walk along the beach to the village food market, then continue to the Big Buddha, one of the best-known temples on the island, and a visit to the Samui Elephant Sanctuary in Bophut can fit into the same day. The homestay is a practical base for visiting the temples and beaches of the island, with the Big Buddha and the village both within a short journey, and the Bophut Food Market, the village's local market, is only a short walk from the beach and the homestay.
