Around the guesthouse, the Thai dragon night market is 500 m away, and Bangla Road, the street known for its bars and clubs, is 1.4 km away. Freedom Beach, a small and quieter beach, is 2.5 km away, so the choice is between the busy sand of Patong and a more secluded cove. Karon Beach and Kata Beach lie to the south, further along the coast, and both can be visited on the same day as the sights further inland.

A day out can take in the Big Buddha on its hilltop, 6.1 km away, with views across the island, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the island's most revered Buddhist temples. The two sights make a full day of temples and views, and the evenings can be spent back in Patong's beaches and nightlife.
