Baan Taa-Yaay

Rooms at Baan Taa-Yaay can have air conditioning, a shower, a hair dryer, a mini bar, a refrigerator and a balcony or terrace. Among the rooms are a 36 m² suite, a 25 m² double room and two garden-view rooms of 18 and 21 m² for up to two guests.

Other room types include a Triple Room of 36 m² and a Superior Room of 21 m², both sleeping up to five guests, and a Double Pool room sleeping up to three. The Superior Bungalow offers a choice of bed set-ups. Rooms can have free Wi-Fi and satellite and cable channels on the TV.

Food and drink come from the bar and restaurants, and guests can also use BBQ facilities and a shared kitchen. The spa area has a spa, a sauna and a massage service, and a fitness centre is on site, and a golf course within 3 km is also available.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the public areas also have Wi-Fi, with internet access by LAN and wireless, plus satellite and cable channels.

Parking is free on site, and valet parking is also available. An airport transfer, tours, car hire, a shuttle service and a taxi service are offered, along with babysitting, a playground, a garden, a shared lounge with a TV area and a laundry service.

Chaweng is the best-known beach area on Koh Samui, with a long stretch of sand and a lively row of bars, restaurants and shops along the road behind it. Baan Taa-Yaay is in the Chaweng area, with the smaller Chaweng Noi Beach 450 m away, so guests can choose between the main bay and a smaller beach close by. The area has a mix of hotels, small resorts and restaurants along its roads, and the nightlife and the sand sit close together.

The walking street, a pedestrian strip of shops, bars and food stalls, is 1.7 km away, and Chaweng Yai Beach, the main Chaweng bay, is 2 km away. Further inland, Na Muang Waterfall is a cascade in the island's interior, and Samui Airport, the island's only airport, is 4.1 km away.

A day could start with the Big Buddha, a large Buddha statue on a hill 6.5 km away, then continue to Na Muang Waterfall in the interior and finish with a walk along the walking street in the evening. Back on the beach, the sand of Chaweng Noi and Chaweng Yai makes an easy afternoon, and the bars and restaurants of the walking street make a lively end to the day.
