Karon works well for a beach holiday, with easy access by road to the rest of the island.

Karon Beach is 880 m from the resort, and Kata Beach, the next bay south, is 2.3 km away. The Big Buddha, a large white statue on a hilltop, is 2.2 km away, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), Phuket's most revered Buddhist temple, is 3.8 km away. Patong Beach, with the Bangla Road nightlife, lies 4.9 km to the north. The resort offers car hire and a taxi service for trips to the temples.

A good day could start on Karon Beach, continue with a visit to Wat Chalong in the afternoon, then take in the Big Buddha before ending at the Karon Night Market. For a livelier evening, Patong and its Bangla Road are to the north, and the beaches of Karon and Kata are easy to combine in one day.
