The rooms at Baan Rim Nam Resort are bungalows and standard rooms, several of them measuring 20 m² and with a garden view. Some have a balcony or terrace, and depending on the room, guests can sleep up to two, three or four, while one bungalow room sleeps up to ten.

Bed options include double, queen and single beds. A few rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and many of them include towels, toiletries and linens. Long-distance buses stop at the terminal, so travellers moving between towns by road can start their day here.

The Phang Nga Bus Terminal is 650 m away, and Prasrinakrin Park is 750 m from the property, a green space in town. The Phang Nga Museum is 850 m away, while the Chedi Khao Lang Bart, a Buddhist stupa, is 2.5 km away and the Bat Cave is 5.9 km away, in the countryside around town.

A day in the area can start at the museum and the park, then go on to the Bat Cave. Phang Nga Bay and its limestone islands are the province's best-known sights, but reaching them takes a longer excursion than a walk from the guesthouse, so plan the trip around the bay separately. Travel around the province is mainly by road, so a hired car or a driver makes the longer day trips easier.
