Baan Po Ngam Resort

The rooms at Baan Po Ngam Resort run from a deluxe double room for two guests to a family suite that sleeps up to six. Several have a balcony, and the deluxe double and deluxe twin rooms with balconies both overlook a garden.

Bed set-ups vary, from one king bed in the deluxe double room to two single beds in the deluxe twin room, and the standard triple combines a single bed with a king bed. Noppharat Thara Beach is the closest beach, 400 m from the resort, and the piers along this stretch of coast are close by too. Boat piers, tour offices and an evening market make up much of the day-to-day life here. Most plans here revolve around the sea, so the sea shapes most days in the area.

Ao Nang Night Market is about 2 km away, a place for an evening walk among the stalls and shops. For a day on the water, Railay Beach is 5.4 km away and is reached by longtail boat, with limestone cliffs rising above the sand, and the boats leave from the piers nearby. Krabi International Airport is 20.5 km away, the closest airport to the resort.

A boat day can also take in Poda Island, which is reached by boat and has beaches, or the Hong Islands further out. Tiger Cave Temple, also called Wat Tham Suea, is a hillside temple reached by a long staircase, and it makes a good stop for a morning out. Boat trips to the islands can be disrupted by rough seas in the rainy season.
