Baan Penny Ayutthaya

Rooms at Baan Penny Ayutthaya can include air conditioning, a desk, a mosquito net, a refrigerator, an electric kettle and a private bathroom with a hair dryer and toiletries. Guests can book rooms for up to three or four people, with garden views in some rooms and a balcony in others.

Ayutthaya Historical Park is 550 m away, and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Lokayasutharam), with its large reclining Buddha, is 600 m away. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, a former royal temple whose three large chedis stand in the old palace area, is 950 m away. Si Suriyothai Park is 250 m away, and the Rong Ngan Sura Community Market is 150 m away. The railway station is also nearby, with trains running to Bangkok.

Walking or cycling between the ruins is an easy way to see them, and the guesthouse offers bicycles and bicycle rental. Wat Mahathat is known for a Buddha head entwined in tree roots, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram, a Khmer-style temple on the Chao Phraya, is a little further out. A morning among the ruins and an afternoon at the riverside temples fits well into one day, and the Queen Suriyothai Museum and the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum cover the kingdom's history.
