Caves and hills are close by. Hup Pa Tat cave is 1.4 km away and Lom Rattanakhuha Cave 1.5 km, while the prehistoric colour drawings at Khao Pla Ra are also close, and the peak of Khao Pla Ra rises above them. Ban Bung Fang, a hamlet, sits a little further on.

A day out could begin at the peak of Khao Pla Ra, then move on to the pagoda at Wat Thep Muang Thong, 5.6 km away, and the protected forest of Tham Pratun.
