The Sangkhalok Museum, 1.2 km away, shows the ceramics made in the Sukhothai kingdom, a useful introduction before visiting the ruins. The Sukhothai Bus Terminal, 1.3 km away, is the place to catch buses for onward travel, and car hire is offered by the homestay for trips further afield.

A full day could begin at Sukhothai Historical Park, 12.9 km away, where the ruins of Wat Maha That and the other temples sit inside a UNESCO World Heritage site, and end back at the homestay with the garden and the evening market nearby. Si Satchanalai Historical Park, further away, belongs to the same World Heritage group of sites and makes a longer trip.
