Baan Kiao resort Koh Phangan

All rooms at Baan Kiao resort Koh Phangan have air conditioning. The rooms measure between 35 and 45 m² and overlook the sea, the pool or the garden, with a balcony or terrace in most of them. Several rooms have a seating area and a mosquito net, and the bathrooms in most rooms have a shower.

The rooms run from studios, such as the Romantic Studio and the Pool View Studio with Balcony, to the Superior Bungalow, the Tropical Deluxe and the Sunset View Room, with family rooms, the Family Suite and the Family Garden View, which sleep up to five guests.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, a private beach and a restaurant, with a bar, room service, a coffee shop, a snack bar and a breakfast service. A poolside bar is also on site.

For day-to-day needs there are tours, car hire, a shuttle service, an airport transfer, laundry, dry cleaning, luggage storage, currency exchange and safety deposit boxes. Free parking is available on site, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Activities include diving, snorkelling, hiking, fishing, yoga and water sports without motors, as well as a sauna and karaoke. There is also a garden and a children's swimming pool, and the snorkelling and diving can be combined with a day on the water.

Haad Yao is a stretch of coast on Ko Pha-ngan, the island in the Gulf of Thailand that is reached by boat from Ko Samui. The resort sits among the bungalows and small beaches of the area, where the sea is the main draw, and the resort's own private beach and garden make it possible to spend much of a stay on the grounds.

Haad Yao beach is 250 m away, and Haad Son beach is 500 m away, with the Samma Karuna garden 800 m away. Wat Sri Thanu, a Buddhist temple, and the Wang Sai waterfall are also on the island, and they make good trips for a day away from the sand.

A good day here starts with a swim at Haad Yao beach, continues with a visit to Wang Sai waterfall, and ends with a meal at the Food Market, which is 1.7 km away. Haad Chao Phao and Zen Beach are other beaches to visit on the island, and Phangan Safari, a zoo on the island, makes a different kind of outing. Evenings can be spent at the bar or the poolside bar, which keep the resort lively after the beach, and the garden is a quiet place to finish the day.
