Wat Chaiwatthanaram, a Khmer-style temple with a tall central prang, is 1.5 km away, and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, a former royal temple inside the old palace grounds, is 1.7 km away. Wat Mahathat, known for a Buddha head held among the roots of a tree, is 2.2 km away. The Ayutthaya Train Station is 3.5 km away, and the Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village, with its elephants and market stalls, is 4.6 km away.

A full day can start at Wat Chaiwatthanaram and move on to Wat Mahathat and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet in the historic park, with the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum for sculpture and artefacts from the Ayutthaya period.
