Karon Road runs behind the beach with shops, restaurants and small hotels, so meals and errands are never far away.

Kata Beach, a neighbouring bay, is 2.1 km away, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the most revered temples on the island, is 4.6 km away. The Big Buddha Phuket, a large statue on the hills inland, is 2.7 km away. Phuket International Airport is 29.8 km away, and the island is linked to the mainland by a bridge, so the airport is reached by road.

A good day could start on Karon Beach, continue to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha, and end at the Karon Night Market for dinner. For a busier evening, Patong's nightlife on Bangla Road is a drive away on the island. Kata Beach makes a second beach day easy, on the neighbouring bay with a calmer feel than Patong. Back at the resort, the pool and garden make a good place to end the day.
