Baan Karon Hill Phuket Resort

Air conditioning is standard in the rooms at Baan Karon Hill Phuket Resort, and several rooms have a sea view. Sizes run from 25 m² to 55 m², and the beds include single, double, queen and king beds. The sea-view rooms include doubles, twin rooms and a suite, and the suite sleeps up to four guests.

Balconies or terraces are found in several of the sea-view rooms, and some rooms also have a desk and an in-room safe box. Rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, free WiFi and satellite channels, and several have a mini bar and refrigerator.

Karon is a long sandy bay on Phuket, with a quieter atmosphere than Patong, the island's busiest beach town. Behind the sand runs a road lined with guesthouses, cafés, small shops and restaurants. Here the beach is the main draw, and the pace is slower than in the busier parts of the island.

Karon View Point, a lookout above the bay, is one of the places to see nearby, and Big Buddha Phuket sits on a hilltop with a large white statue and wide views over the island. Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) is one of the best-known temples on Phuket, and Patong Beach offers a livelier evening. Karon Night Market and Karon Temple Market are a short ride away. Phuket International Airport is 28.4 km away, and a car or scooter makes the sights easy to reach, since they are spread across the island.

A good day can start with a swim at Karon Beach, continue to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha in the hills, and end at Karon Night Market for dinner from the street-food stalls. For a longer drive to a different stretch of sand, Nai Harn Beach is further away, and a car is the easiest way to reach it.
