Every room at Baan Chom Chan has air conditioning. The rooms include a 24 m² room with one single bed, a river view and a shared bathroom; a 16 m² Standard Twin Room with two single beds, a river view and a private bathroom; a triple room with three single beds and a private external bathroom; and a Vacation Home that sleeps up to 20 guests.

Guests who want river views can choose the 24 m² room, the 16 m² Standard Twin Room or the Vacation Home. The Vacation Home can be set up in a choice of bed arrangements, and daily housekeeping is provided across the property.

Baan Chom Chan is in the Tha Wa Su Kri area of Ayutthaya, a city on the Chao Phraya river north of Bangkok that was the capital of the Siamese kingdom for around four centuries. The area is best known for its ancient temples, and many of them are within walking distance of the guesthouse. Its streets mix old brick ruins with everyday local life.

Wat Mahathat, known for its Buddha head set among tree roots, is 700 m away, and the Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is 1.2 km away. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the former royal temple within the palace grounds, is 1.4 km away. Ayutthaya Train Station is 1.7 km away, with trains running to and from Bangkok. Wat Chaiwatthanaram, with its tall central prang, lies further out and is well worth the trip.

A good day here starts at Wat Mahathat and continues through the Historic City, where the ruins are spread over a wide area and are best explored on foot or by bicycle. In the evening, the Hua Raw Night Market is a short walk away, and the Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village, 2.7 km away, offers a different day out.
