Baan Baan Hostel

The rooms at Baan Baan Hostel in Phuket Town include a single-bed room, a dormitory for two and two 12 m² Deluxe rooms, and free WiFi is available in all rooms. Several rooms come with a city view and air conditioning.

The Deluxe Double Room measures 12 m² and has a double bed and a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries. The area is for travellers who want to walk between museums and night markets rather than spend their days on the beach. Thalang Road itself runs through the middle of the old quarter, and its shophouses, temples and museums are close enough together to see on foot in a single day.

Several museums are close to the hostel: the Philatelic museum, the Peranakan Museum, devoted to Phuket's Peranakan heritage, and the Thavorn Phuket Museum. Her Majesty the Queen's 72nd Anniversary Park is 150 m away, and the Phuket Town Local Bus Station (Terminal 1) is 350 m from the hostel. Phuket International Airport (HKT) is 26.9 km away, so arrival from the airport is by road.

A day could start at the Philatelic museum and continue through the old town to the Lard Yai Sunday Night Market, the Plein Poa Night Market and the Wat Mongkol Nimit pagoda, all a short walk from the hostel. For a temple visit further out, Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) is 7.5 km away, and Big Buddha Phuket is further still, on a hilltop.
