Ao Nang, the best-known resort strip on this coast, is 7.5 km away, and Railay Beach, one of the best-known beaches in Krabi, is 10.3 km away and reached only by longtail boat, with its limestone cliffs and Phra Nang Cave. The Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hilltop temple complex, is 20.5 km away.

A good day here combines the beach at Klong Muang with a boat trip to Railay, or to the islands of Tup and Poda, which are reached by boat from the piers around Ao Nang. The beach is reachable on foot from the apartment, and a swim there is an easy start to the day. For a local market, the Klong Muang Sunday and Tuesday Market is held on those two days. Boat trips depend on the weather and the sea, and can be cancelled when the sea is rough.
