Koh Kwang Beach is 250 m away, and the area is quieter and more residential than Ao Nang, with long stretches of sand and far fewer crowds along the shore, so the sea is the main draw of the area.

Ao Nang, 7.5 km away, is a common departure point for longtail boats to Railay, 10.3 km from the apartment. Railay is reached only by boat, and its limestone cliffs and the cave beach of Phra Nang are among the best-known sights on this coast. Further away, the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 20.5 km away, sits on a hillside near Krabi Town, with a long staircase climbing to its shrines.

A good day out from here is a boat trip to Poda and Tup islands, which set out from piers in the area, with the Hong Islands as a longer excursion. Boats can be cancelled when the sea is rough, which happens more often in the rainy season. On the mainland, the Sunday and Tuesday market in Klong Muang gives a local, everyday feel.
