Wat Chalong, 4.2 km away, is the most important temple complex on the island, while the Big Buddha, 1.9 km away, is a large white statue on a hilltop. Freedom Beach, 4.7 km away, is a small quiet cove reached on foot down a steep path or by boat. Phuket International Airport is 30.3 km away, and the resort offers an airport transfer.

Phuket is linked to the mainland by bridge and road, so Karon can be reached by car, taxi or songthaew. A good day out combines a morning at Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha with an afternoon on Kata Beach or an evening walk along Karon Beach.
