Armthong Resort

Armthong Resort's rooms run from private rooms to dormitories and a two-bedroom house. The 26 m² Moderate Double Room has a balcony or terrace, a private pool and a garden view. The 16 m² Eco Room has a king bed and a garden view for up to two guests.

The 32 m² and 20 m² dormitory rooms, both with mountain views, sleep up to 12 and 4 guests respectively in single beds. The 100 m² Empty Lot sleeps one guest on a futon and has BBQ facilities, and the 27 m² Modern Room offers a choice of bed set-ups for up to two guests.

Facilities include an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a garden, a terrace and a playground. Guests can also play table tennis or karaoke, go fishing, and the resort has bicycles.

Food and drink come from a coffee shop, a snack bar, room service and a vending machine, and a shared kitchen and private BBQ facilities are on site. A full American breakfast is also available, served à la carte.

Parking is free, and bicycle parking and a car charging station are also available. Luggage storage, daily housekeeping, ironing and a laundromat are offered, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, with internet also in the public areas. The property has 24-hour security.

Armthong Resort is in Nakhon Nayok, a provincial town in central Thailand with hills, waterfalls and forest close by. The area is a quieter alternative for travellers who want countryside not far from Bangkok, with a slower pace than the capital. The Chao Pho Khun Dan Shrine and the 100 Anniversary Museum are both close to the resort, so the town itself makes a short outing.

Khao Yai National Park, a large protected forest, lies 29.4 km away and is the best-known natural area in the region, so it works best as a full day out. Closer are the Lan Rak Waterfall, 10.3 km away, and the Sarika Waterfall, 11.4 km away, two of the waterfalls that draw visitors to the area. The surrounding hills make the district a practical base for exploring central Thailand.

A good day could begin at the Khao Hua Muak viewpoint, 6.5 km from the resort, with its views over the countryside, and continue to one of the waterfalls in the afternoon. Check-in runs from 14:00 to 20:00, so an afternoon arrival fits well with this plan. Back at Armthong Resort, the pools, the fitness center and the garden give you time to rest between outings.
