Aonang Regent Hotel

Aonang Regent Hotel is 1.5 km from Ao Nang Beach, a base for travellers who want the town's beaches and boats without staying right on the sand.

Railay Beach, 2.6 km from the hotel, can only be reached by longtail boat from Ao Nang's piers, and it is backed by limestone cliffs. Phra Nang Cave lies on the same peninsula, with a beach and shrines inside the cave itself. Poda Island, 7.4 km away, is a small island with beaches of its own, and nearby Tup Island has a beach too. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside Buddhist complex with cave shrines, sits near Krabi town and is a separate trip by road.

A full day could start on Ao Nang Beach and continue by longtail boat to Railay, Phra Nang Cave or the islands of Poda and Tup, with the temple kept for another day. Boat trips can be disrupted in the rainy months, when the sea is rough, so it is worth checking conditions on the day you plan to travel.
