Aonang Phu Petra Resort

Accommodation at Aonang Phu Petra Resort ranges from the 56 m² King Room with Mountain View to two-bedroom villas of 144 m². Rooms can have air conditioning, blackout curtains, a desk, a closet, a refrigerator, a coffee and tea maker and a balcony or terrace, and rooms can also have a bathtub, a hair dryer and toiletries.

Some rooms have a garden view and others a mountain view, and the Suite Villa measures 72 m², while the two villas of 144 m² have two bedrooms each. Daily housekeeping is provided at the resort, so the rooms are kept in order during a stay.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool, a garden and a massage service, and its front desk is staffed around the clock. Guests can also use luggage storage, daily housekeeping, laundry and ironing services, and a concierge. Tours, ticket services and car hire are offered too, along with safety deposit boxes.

Ao Nang is a seaside town on the Andaman coast of Krabi province, with limestone cliffs rising behind the bay and boats leaving from the pier for the islands. The seafront road is lined with tour offices and food stalls, and the bay has a long curve of sand. The resort stands a little way inland from the sand, and the Ao Nang pier is the starting point for boat trips and day outings.

Ao Nang Beach is 1.4 km away, and Railay Beach, a limestone-cliff beach reached mainly by longtail boat, is 2.2 km away. Phra Nang Cave, on the Railay peninsula, is 3.3 km from the resort. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside Buddhist temple complex with a stairway up to its shrines, is 14 km away, and Krabi International Airport (KBV) is 17.4 km away.

A common day out is a longtail boat trip from the Ao Nang pier to Railay or to Poda Island, while a visit to Tiger Cave Temple makes a good half-day outing by road. Railay has no road access, and boats from the Ao Nang pier are the usual way in, so the same pier serves both the islands and the peninsula. Boat trips can be cancelled when the sea is rough in the rainy months.
