Ao Nang is a beach town on the Andaman coast of Krabi province, where dive shops, restaurants and guesthouses line the streets behind a sandy beach and limestone hills rise at the edge of town. It is a practical base for sea and island trips, and the sea is close at hand.

Ao Nang Beach is about 350 m from the hotel, and the pier there is the departure point for many boat trips. Railay Beach, 2.5 km away, is known for its limestone cliffs and is reached by longtail boat from the pier, while Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside Buddhist temple, is around 15 km away.

Boat trips to the islands, including Poda, Tup and the Hong Islands, are a popular day out from Ao Nang, and they leave from the pier close to the hotel. For a quieter stretch of sand, Phai Plong Beach is 1.2 km away, and in the evening the Ao-Nang Landmark Night Market, with food stalls and souvenirs, is 1.7 km from the hotel. Sea conditions can make boat trips rougher in the rainy season, so a day on the water can be bumpier at some times of year, and the boats may not run on rough days.
