Phuket International Airport is 9.7 km away, and Patong Beach, the best-known beach resort area on the island, is 13.7 km away. Wat Phra Nang Sang, a local temple, is also a short walk from the property, and the Peranakan Museum covers the Peranakan heritage of the island.

A day could start at the fresh market and the Victory Monument, then continue to Bang Tao Beach, a sandy stretch in the Bang Tao area, or to the golf courses of the Laguna resort area. Patong is the obvious choice for the island's nightlife and beach life, and it is a good place to end the day after the quieter streets of Thalang.
