Air conditioning is standard in all the rooms at Andaman Genetics 420 Rooms, and each room has a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries. The rooms measure 16 to 22 m² and each sleeps up to two guests.

Beds are either a double bed or a queen bed, depending on the room. The rooms also have a flat-screen TV with a streaming service such as Netflix, heating, linen, and a wake-up service.

Ao Nang is a beach town on Thailand's Andaman coast, in Krabi province, with a long bay lined by guesthouses, tour offices and shops. In the evening the area is busy, with street stalls and Muay Thai gyms, and it is a practical base for boat trips and evening walks. The Ao Nang area is compact, with the beach, the pier and the markets close to one another.

Near the hotel, the Mountain Buddha Temple is a pagoda and temple 850 m away, and Ao Nang Beach is about 2 km off. Railay, a peninsula reached only by longtail boat from Ao Nang, has limestone cliffs and beaches, and Tiger Cave Temple, a hillside temple complex, is 13.3 km away and reached by a long climb of stairs. Krabi International Airport is 17.1 km from the hotel, and the road to Ao Nang runs from it, so the trip from the airport does not need a boat.

A day could start with a boat trip from the Ao Nang Beach Pier to Railay or the islands, and end with the Ao-Nang Landmark Night Market in the evening. Tiger Cave Temple makes a separate trip inland from the coast. In the rainy season, rough seas can stop the longtail boats.
