Ao Nang is a beach town on the Andaman coast of Krabi, with a busy strip of street-food stalls, shops and massage places along the beach road, and limestone cliffs rising behind the sand. Most of the activity runs along the beach road and the streets behind it. It works well for a beach holiday with easy access to the islands and the bay.
Ao Nang Beach is 900 m from the resort, and the Ao Nang Beach Pier, 1.2 km away, is where longtail boats leave for Railay, Phra Nang Cave and the nearby islands. Railay's beaches and limestone cliffs are across the bay, reached only by boat. The Weekend Market is a short walk away, and the Mountain Buddha Temple is 1.5 km from the resort. The pier is the starting point for most of the boat trips.
A good day could start with a longtail boat from the pier to Railay, followed by an evening at the Ao-Nang Landmark Night Market.
