The rooms at Andaman Bangtao Bay Resort include sea-view rooms and a garden-view room, from a single room for one guest to the Superior Beach Front room, which measures 42 m² and sleeps up to four guests. Some rooms have air conditioning, a TV with satellite or cable channels and a private bathroom with a shower.

The Honeymoon Suite measures 25 m² and has a queen bed and a sea view, and the Standard Room measures 25 m² with a garden view and a double bed. Depending on the room, there can also be a balcony or terrace, a refrigerator, a bathtub or a coffee and tea maker.

Bang Thao is a quieter stretch of the coast than Patong, the island's busiest resort town. The rest of Phuket is reachable by road, so day trips are easy to plan, and the sea is close enough for an early swim.

Phuket International Airport is 14.2 km away. Wat Chalong, one of the most revered Buddhist temples on Phuket, is 16.3 km away, and the large white Big Buddha statue on the Nakkerd Hills is 17.8 km away. Patong is 8.8 km away, and Phuket FantaSea, a theme park with an evening cultural show, is also nearby. Bang Tao Night Market and Surin Beach, a small bay, are close by as well.

A day could start on Bang Tao Beach, continue to Kata and Karon, two neighbouring beaches further along the coast, and finish at Bang Tao Night Market in the evening. The Big Buddha and Wat Chalong make a morning of temple visits, and Phuket FantaSea fits an evening out with its cultural show. Both beaches on the way south are reached by road, so the day can easily combine a swim, a temple and a night market.
