Ananas Central Phuket Hostel

The hostel offers mixed, male and female dormitory rooms and twin rooms, with floor areas running from 27 to 50 m². Dormitory rooms sleep up to six guests and the twin rooms sleep up to three, so groups and solo travellers can both find a bed that suits them.

Bathrooms vary: the mixed and male dormitory rooms have a shared bathroom with a shower and toiletries, while some rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and towels. Within a short walk are The Pawket park, a convenience store and an ATM. Wat Nakaram, a Buddhist temple, is 1.5 km away and Chillva Market, known for its seafood stalls, is 1.9 km away. Further afield, Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) is 6 km away and Patong Beach is 7.2 km away. Taxis and songthaews run across the island, so getting around by road is straightforward from the town, and the beaches are reached by the same roads.

A good first day could start at Chaithararam Temple, one of Phuket's most important Buddhist temples, before heading up to the Big Buddha on its hilltop for the wide views over the island. In the evening, Patong Beach is where the nightlife of Bangla Road begins, and the sea front there is a lively place to finish the day. Back in Phuket Town, the old streets make a good place to end a day of sightseeing.
