Panwa Cape is a headland on Phuket island, with small bays around its shore. The resort sits on the cape itself, away from the busier beach towns of Patong, Kata and Karon, and its own private beach is part of the grounds.
Panwa Beach is 450 m from the resort, and Laem Panwa Viewpoint and Phuket Aquarium are also close by. The Phuket Marine Biological Center is nearby too, with Ao Yoh and Ao Yon Beach close to the cape. Ton Ao Yon Waterfall is nearby, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of Phuket's best-known Buddhist temples, is 8.9 km away.
For a day out, combine a visit to Wat Chalong with the Big Buddha Phuket, a large white statue of Buddha on a hilltop, and a boat trip from Chalong Pier, which is the pier for boat trips around the island. The day can be planned around the sea as well as the temples. Phuket International Airport is 35.4 km away and Krabi International Airport is 70.9 km away, so the drive from either is a longer part of the trip.
