Further afield, the Big Buddha is a hilltop temple with a large Buddha statue, 7.3 km away, and Na Muang Waterfall, 10.9 km away, is a cascade in the island's interior. The ferry pier, 1.8 km away, serves the neighbouring islands.

A day could start at the morning market, continue on the beach at Mae Nam and finish with a visit to the Big Buddha or Na Muang Waterfall. Samui Airport is 8 km away, and the island's roads connect the hotel to the rest of Koh Samui. Koh Samui's main roads link Maenam with the rest of the island, so a scooter or taxi is the usual way to reach the beaches and temples further afield.
