Amantra Resort & Spa

The rooms at Amantra Resort & Spa come with partial ocean, sea, beach and garden views. The Deluxe Villa and the Beach Front Villa each measure 49 m², and the Superior Garden View measures 35 m². Beds range from a double to a king, and one sea-view room has a single bed and a king bed for up to three guests.

Several rooms have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and a TV with satellite channels. The sea-view rooms also have a dining table, a refrigerator, a coffee and tea maker and free bottled water, and the garden-view room has a mosquito net and a wake-up service.

Amantra Resort & Spa has an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool and a poolside bar. The spa offers massage, a sauna and a yoga room, and the grounds include a garden and a terrace. The private beach is part of the resort.

For eating and drinking there are a restaurant, a coffee shop, a bar, a halal restaurant, barbecue facilities and 24-hour room service, with buffet and continental breakfast offered. Free parking is available on site, and Wi-Fi is free in all rooms.

The resort also offers an airport transfer, car hire, a shuttle service and a taxi service, along with diving, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, bicycle rental and tours, and there is a playground and a babysitting service for families.

Klong Nin is a small village on Koh Lanta, the long island in Krabi province, and the resort sits in its beach area, with the village and the sand within walking distance. The island is reached by ferry from the mainland, and the sights around the resort are a mix of villages, beaches, caves and a national park. The resort has two swimming pools, a spa and a private beach of its own, all on site.

Khao Mai Kaew Cave is 2.2 km away and Khlong Khong Beach lies a little further along the coast. Lanta Old Town, 4.8 km away, is the island's old town, and the Koh Lanta Community Museum is close to it, giving a view of island life. Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 8.6 km away, covers part of the island's coast. The resort itself offers car hire and a taxi service for trips further across the island.

A day could start on Klong Nin beach, 850 m away, before heading to the national park or Lanta Old Town for the rest of the day. During the rainy months, boat trips from the island's piers can be less predictable. Those who want a quieter day can simply stay on the resort's own private beach.
