Bangla Road, the nightlife street, is about 550 m away, and the night market is 500 m from the hotel. Freedom Beach, a quieter cove, is 3.6 km away, and reaching it means a boat or a steep path. Further afield, taxis and songthaews run along the main roads, and Big Buddha Phuket, the white statue on its hilltop, is 7.9 km away.

A day could start with a swim at Patong Beach, continue with a walk through the evening market, and take in Wat Chalong, one of the best-known temples on the island. Phuket is joined to the mainland by a road bridge, so getting around the island by car or taxi is straightforward. Between outings it is easy to return to the hotel, since the beach and the bars are within a short walk, and the front desk is open around the clock for questions about the day, including late returns.
