Much of the town can be reached on foot, while the rest of the island is reached by road. Most of the bars and shops sit on the streets closest to the sand.

Bangla Road, the street of bars and clubs that gives Patong its nightlife, is a short walk away, and Patong Beach is 500 m from the guesthouse. Jungceylon Shopping Center, 250 m away, has shops and places to eat for a day of shopping. Wat Chalong, one of the most revered temples on Phuket, is 6.6 km away, and Big Buddha Phuket, a large white statue on Nakkerd Hills, is 7.6 km away.

A good day could start on Patong Beach, move to Bangla Road in the evening and end with a cultural show at Phuket FantaSea. Phuket International Airport is 24.1 km away, the nearest airport, and it is reached by road, so the trip into Patong is by car, taxi or the airport transfer service.
