For trains, Wat Mangkon MRT station is 450 m away and Hua Lamphong railway station, Bangkok's main railway station, is 550 m. Sawatdi Pier on the Chao Phraya River is a short walk away, and convenience stores and an ATM are close by.

For a day out, the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, are about 2.5 km away and easy to reach by taxi. Wat Arun, on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya River, is reached by boat from the piers in Chinatown. Chatuchak Weekend Market is on the other side of the city, so it is better kept for a separate trip.
