The Nana BTS station is 650 m from the hotel, and Siam Paragon, 2.6 km away on the Skytrain, is a large shopping centre with cinemas and an aquarium. Jim Thompson House, 3.3 km away, is a museum of Thai silk and art in a group of teak houses. Across the Chao Phraya river, the Grand Palace is 7.3 km from the hotel, and the old city is usually reached by taxi or by a combination of Skytrain and river boat.

A good first day could start in the old city, where the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and Wat Arun sit in the same riverside area as the Grand Palace, before returning to the Nana area for dinner. Chatuchak Weekend Market, open at weekends, is a full morning out for clothes, crafts and food, but it is a long trip from Sukhumvit.
