Big Buddha Phuket, a large white statue on Nakkerd Hills, is 6.8 km away. Taxis, songthaews and rental cars cover the island roads, and Phuket International Airport is 38.3 km away, so a car gives the most freedom for visits to the temples and beaches.

A day could start with a swim at Yanui Beach, continue with snorkelling over the reef 150 m away, and end at Promthep Cape for the sunset. Rawai Pier, the departure point for boat trips, is 2.5 km away for a trip to the islands. Boats from the pier are the simplest way to see the offshore islands and their reefs, and the bays of this coast are a good place to spend a relaxed afternoon by the water, with the sea in view from the house.
