Wow Phuket

The rooms at Wow Phuket include double and twin set-ups, and several of them measure 28 m² and sleep up to three guests. Some rooms look over the pool, and some offer a bathtub, a hair dryer and towels.

Rooms can have air conditioning, blackout curtains, a flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels, and a coffee or tea maker. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, and a shower is provided in some bathrooms. Bed set-ups vary between rooms, from a double bed to two single beds. Bathrooms are private in several rooms, with toiletries and towels provided in the bathroom.

Chalong is a district of southern Phuket, calmer than the resort beaches further along the coast, and it is home to the island's best-known Buddhist temple. Wow Phuket is on Luang Pho Chaem Road in this area, a base for travellers who prefer a quieter side of the island to the busy coast around Patong. Much of the appeal is the mix of temples, gyms and beaches within a short drive of each other.

Wat Chalong, the Chaithararam Temple, is 1.2 km away, and Big Buddha Phuket, a large white statue on a hill with wide views, is 3.9 km away. Karon Beach and Kata Beach, 5.7 km and 5.8 km away, are two sandy stretches with cafés and restaurants along the seafront. Chalong also has several Muay Thai gyms, including Suwit Muay Thai Training Camp and Chalong Gym, and the Phuket Botanic Garden is close by.

A good day could start with the temple at Wat Chalong in the morning, continue up to the Big Buddha, and finish with a swim at Kata or Karon. Phuket International Airport is 30.3 km away, and Chalong makes a practical base for exploring the rest of the island, since the beaches and sights are a short drive apart.
