The apartment is on Kata Road, a short walk from the sand, so the beach is easy to reach on foot for an early swim before the day warms up. The bay is a relaxed place to base yourself by the sea, with Patong's busier nightlife a drive away.

Kata Beach Community Park is 200 m away, and the Big Buddha, a large white statue on a hilltop, is 1.9 km away. Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 5.2 km away and is one of the most revered Buddhist temples on the island. A minibus station and a bus stop for Kata to Phuket are 100 m away, for trips into Phuket Town and the rest of the island.

Patong Beach is 7.9 km away, and Bangla Road, its nightlife street, is a short taxi ride further. A good day combines an early swim at Kata, the Big Buddha in the afternoon and a visit to Wat Chalong, with the rest of the evening back in Kata. Because the apartment is a short walk from the sand, the beach fits easily into any day of the stay.
