For a full day, combine a morning at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, 7.3 km away and one of the city's best-known markets, with an afternoon at the Grand Palace and the temples of the old city. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 20.9 km away, so allow extra time for the journey when you leave Bangkok. After a day out, the Skytrain is an easy way back to the hotel from the central lines.
