Kamala is a village on Phuket's west coast, a little north of Patong, with a long sandy beach and a quieter feel than the island's busiest nightlife strip. The hotel is on Huakhuan Tai Road in the village, and the Kamala Mosque, the Baan Kamala Temple and the local seafood and fruit market are all within a short distance. The bay is backed by a village with small shops and everyday services, so the area gives a good sense of daily life on the island.

The Phuket FantaSea theme park and its evening cultural show are close by, as is Bang Wan Waterfall, which lies 1.5 km away. The Kamala Night Market, an evening market for food and everyday goods, is 1.7 km from the hotel. Patong Beach is 4.5 km away, with its bars and nightlife, and Bangla Road is 6 km away.

A full day could start with the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong, both on the southern side of the island, then continue to Patong Beach for the sand and the nightlife along Bangla Road. Back in Kamala, the evening market and the beach at Kamala make a quieter finish after a long day out on the island.
