We Love Kata Hotel

Karon Beach lies next along the coast, a longer stretch of sand with more shops and street food. The Big Buddha Phuket stands on a hilltop 1.4 km away, and its statue is one of the island's best-known landmarks. The Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 4.7 km away and is one of Phuket's best-known Buddhist temples. Taxis and scooters are the usual way to reach the sights further afield, while the beach and the night market are close enough to walk to.

A useful day here might start with a swim at Kata Beach, continue with a visit to the Big Buddha and the Chaithararam Temple, and end with a walk to the Kata Night Market. For a livelier evening, Patong Beach is 7 km away and offers more nightlife and shopping than the Kata area.
