Wangyao Riverside Resort

Wangyao Riverside Resort offers rooms from a 13 m² standard room to a 150 m² villa that sleeps up to 12 guests. All the rooms have a shower and a television, and most have air conditioning, with free bottled water provided in several of them. Beds range from single and king beds to double beds, and the villa has a choice of set-ups.

Most rooms have a garden view, and the River View Cottage looks onto the river. Several rooms have a balcony or terrace. The Family Room measures 46 m² and sleeps up to four guests. The Family Studio, at 45 m², has two single beds and a balcony or terrace.

The resort has a 24-hour front desk and daily housekeeping, as well as a spa and sauna, and massage is also offered on site. Guests can use the garden and the terrace, and a kids meal is offered for younger travellers.

For meals, the resort has a restaurant, a bar, a coffee shop and a snack bar, with breakfast served a la carte, in the Asian style, as a buffet or in the American style. Grocery delivery, BBQ facilities and an alternative meal arrangement are also on hand.

Wangyao Riverside Resort sits on the bank of a river in Sarika, in Muang district of Nakhon Nayok province, in the central part of Thailand. The area is countryside rather than town, with forest and waterfalls around the river, and the resort's garden and terrace give guests a place to sit outdoors. It suits a trip that mixes nature with temples and local markets, rather than a city stay.

Wat Tam Nak, a pagoda, is 1.2 km away, and Tat Hin Kong, a waterfall in the surrounding countryside, is 3.8 km away. Sarika Waterfall lies 4.7 km from the resort, and the Khun Dan Prakarn Chon Dam, a large dam, is 6.1 km away. Khao Yai National Park, the UNESCO World Heritage forest park, is 20.7 km away and is the main excursion from the resort.

Car hire is offered at the resort for the more distant sights, including Khao Yai. A full day could begin with a walk around the garden, continue to the waterfalls and the dam, and finish at the local market at Theng Thoet Thoeng in the afternoon. Ganesha ParkTemple, a temple, is also close to the resort, and the two waterfalls sit within a few kilometres of each other, so they are easy to combine in a single outing.
