Close by, the Ganesha Shrine at the Huai Khwang intersection is a small shrine on a road junction, and Kiat Thongchai Market is also nearby. Further afield, Chatuchak Weekend Market is 3.9 km away and is one of Bangkok's largest markets, while Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre in the Siam district, is 5.5 km away. Jim Thompson House, a traditional Thai house set in a leafy garden, is a further stop.

A day could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, with its stalls and crowds, then continue to the old city, where the Grand Palace is 9.6 km from the apartment. The Grand Palace includes the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and the Asiatique riverfront is a good place to end the day. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 21.1 km away for departures.
