Wat Arun, the temple with its tall, tiered prang, is 2.7 km away on the same bank, while the Grand Palace is 3.3 km off across the river and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) sits within the palace complex, 3.5 km from the apartment.

A day could start at Wat Arun on the riverbank and then cross the river to the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha, before an evening at Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex 1.9 km from the apartment. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street of guesthouses and street stalls, makes a lively stop after dark. Both the Thonburi temples and the palace complex across the river are within a few kilometres of the apartment.
