W District hostel

Walking the lanes around the hostel shows the everyday life of the area, from morning markets to evening food stalls, which is a good way to see Bangkok beyond the main sights.

Phra Khanong BTS station is 350 m away, and On Nut station is 1.1 km away, both on the Sukhumvit line. The line runs into central Bangkok, to Siam and Asok, which are useful for the shopping districts. Phra Khanong Market is 250 m away, and the Wat Tai pagoda is 950 m away, so the local neighbourhood is easy to explore on foot.

The Grand Palace is 11.8 km away, and the riverside temple Wat Arun is in the same part of the city. A day could combine the Chatuchak Weekend Market, known for its weekend stalls, with an evening at Asiatique The Riverfront on the Chao Phraya. Suvarnabhumi is the nearest airport, and Don Mueang International Airport is further away, so most arrivals will use the Suvarnabhumi side of the city.
