Victory Monument BTS Station is 350 m away, giving access to the rest of Bangkok by Skytrain. Santi Phap Park is in the streets around the monument, and Wat Aphai Thayaram, a pagoda temple, is a few streets from the hotel. Jim Thompson House, the teak house museum of the American who revived Thai silk, is 2.1 km away, and Chatuchak Weekend Market, a large market with many stalls, is 3.9 km away. Most nearby sights are reachable by Skytrain and taxi from the hotel.

A day could start with the temples: the Grand Palace is 5.5 km away and can be combined with Wat Arun, which stands across the river. Chatuchak Weekend Market is best left for the weekend, when its many stalls are open and the streets fill with shoppers. Back at the hotel, the garden offers a quiet place to end the day.
