Ko Pha-ngan is reached by boat, which shapes how most travellers plan their days on the island.

Chaloklum Bay Beach is 250 m away, and Haad Chaloklum is another beach on the same bay. Salad Beach is 2.3 km along the coast. Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach lies 7.1 km away, a further stretch of sand for travellers who want to see more of the island. Wat Chaloklum, a pagoda 1.4 km away, is one of the sites close to the village, and for Muay Thai fans Diamond Muay Thai is 8.1 km away.

A day could start with a swim at Chaloklum Bay Beach, followed by a visit to Wat Chaloklum, and end with a trip to Salad Beach or to Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach.
